Why Individual / Small Group Training?

Teams and squads (especially in the USA) are large and you’re looking at 16+ players at a training session. With numbers this large it is impossible for a coach to focus on an individual’s player’s needs. If a player can supplement their team practice with one or more privates or small groups a week, they can now hone in on their individual needs and simply develop at a much quicker rate.

Pros of Privates / Small Groups

  • Build Players ConfidencePlayers often come to us who are lacking in confidence for whatever reason…Confidence is essential in soccer as it’s a hard-enough sport with it, so without it you just don’t stand a chance.

  • Focus on Specific areasIf a player’s weakness is “heading” it is unlikely a coach will spend time on a heading, especially such a controversial topic. So how do they learn how to head? The sad truth is, they don’t. This is true to every topic as the team coach just cannot spend as much time as what is needed on the technical side of the game.

  • Fine Tuning TechniqueNo matter how good a player’s technique is, it can always be improved. This comes predominantly from repetition but it’s hard for a player to go out and repeat 30-40 Volleys. If they do, then they need the guidance from a professional “3rd eye” to make sure they are repeating the correct mechanics. Through technology this is now made even easier and the coach can show the player on site and allow the player to use visual learning.

  • Hear a Different Voice It’s very important for players to hear a different coaching voice as each coach will see different areas to improve.

Professional and Experienced Soccer Players and Coaches
All the Become Elite Private/Small Group Coaches are vastly experienced coaches AND players. We know the difficulty of skills and the pressures to perform them in certain times and areas as we have and still do play the game. That is why “Become Elite Coaches” are the best at what they do.

Private Training Focus Areas

Injury Prevention / Recovery

ACTing instead of REacting is the name of the game here, meaning that Injury Prevention is by far the most valuable aid we offer. If you can stay clear of injury you can continue to improve in your sport specific fields and so we highly recommend you don’t overlook injury prevention.

Athletes will be screened for agonist and antagonist muscle strength imbalances and the results will be utilized to identify possessing a predisposition for injury. Smaller stabilizer muscles will be strengthened along with the stability of the core and joints through dynamic movements.

Of course, complete injury prevention can never be 100% guaranteed and so once an injured athlete has clearance from a physician we can work on maintaining the strength they gained in therapy and increase stability in the athlete through sport-specific dynamic movements. Our skilled and qualified experts will assess and design an injury prevention and recovery plan to help decrease chance of injury/re-injury in the athletes and promote a speedy recovery after hard practices, lifts, conditioning session, and game days.

Sports Performance

As we are a program that encourages multi-sport athletes, we want to have an option for their success in all sports, not just in soccer and be an aid to building the complete athlete.

In order to achieve our goal of building the complete athlete, our specialized trainers will focus on all the attributes of athletic development, whilst honing in on specific areas each athlete needs more so to perform well in their sport(s).

Our sports performance team will focus on but not limited to:

  • Full Body Strength improvements

  • Explosive Gain

  • Speed, Agility and Quickness

  • Mobility and Flexibility

  • Injury Prevention/Recovery

  • Endurance

  • Sport Specific Training

Game Analysis

Game analysis is nothing new as it is used across the globe by coaches, managers and pundits on a daily basis. Game analysis is huge in European countries where soccer is part of the culture and therefore there’s no getting away from the analysis of games, whether it be at halftime of a game on a live broadcast, post-match on a highlight show, radio, newspaper, internet and any other form of media.

Because there’s no getting away from soccer and therefore soccer analysis if you have grown up in these countries, it is easier to learn and understand the game of ‘football’. In the USA the games aren’t as well televised (although NBC Sports are doing a great job of recent years) and youth players are less accustomed to watching soccer at all, never mind the professional analysis that will come pregame, during, halftime and post game.

The higher level you play, the more exposure you will have to game analysis because in most cases there’s more at stake (money, titles, championships, etc.) and the reason being is the Coaches want to give their team the biggest advantage possible. But why do we have to be playing for something to give our youth players an advantage?

Game Analysis sessions are better done over zoom and they are a fun and unique way of learning about the game that can be done with or without teammates and friends too, in the comfort of your own homes.

Game Analysis topics will always change dependent on the game but they always cover the “Why?” “Why did player A take that shot, pass that ball, decide to go passed that player at that moment?” There’s always a “why?” and this is what is often neglected by coaches as they fail to explain why? Or what is also common is that a player won’t understand the “why?” but they are too afraid to say in front of a big group or their team.

Game Analysis sessions come highly recommended to any player who is currently playing or looking to play a high level of soccer in the future, or simply someone who’s looking to understand the game a little better. It’s also a great tool to keep your team learning and integrated with one another during offseason.

Prices will vary dependent on the length of the analysis and also what kind of analysis it is. If a player or Coach brings personal footage, that will have to be watched and analyzed before the analysis takes place and will cost more. Basic packages will follow the same pay scale as the “Individual / Small Group Training”.
